It’s the grand opening of the ESO’s 2013-2014 season, complete with black-tie optional attire on Saturday, October 5th! Gershwin’s light and playful Second Rhapsody, performed by pianist Terrance Wilson, and his “I Got Rhythm” Variations begin the concert with crisp and refreshing rhythms, much like a glass of white wine. Then you move to a full-bodied red wine, Mahler’s Symphony No. 1 “Titan.” The “Titan” performance will excite your musical palate as it takes you on an emotional journey with an intense finish.
