Maestro Heatherington brings you Schubert
and Mendelssohn with the Lake Forest Symphony
and the Chicago Master Singers!
Somewhere on every music lover's list of favorite works
is always Schubert's "Unfinished" symphony, one of those
works that cannot be played or heard often enough.
But the real gem on this extraordinary concert is
Mendelssohn's Lobgesang, a work that has not been
heard in Chicago since a Ravinia performance led by
Ricardo Chailly years ago. This astonishing work deserves
a place alongside Elijah as one of the greatest choral/orchestral
works of the entire 19th century. Don't miss an opportunity to
hear it with the Lake Forest Symphony, Maestro Heatherington,
brilliant soloists and the Chicago Master Singers!
